5 Reasons Why Your Thoughts are Creating Your Reality

“If you want to be happy, you have to be happy on purpose. When you wake up, you cannot just wait to see what kind of day you will have. You have to decide what kind of day you will have.” –Joel Osteen

The decision of what kind of day you will have is a process of reflection. If you think you will have a good happy day, you just might end up having that. How many times have you woken up grumpily and thought this is not going to be a good day and it has turned out that way?

What I am trying to say here is that our thoughts have the capability to turn into reality. In situations that are in favor, this idea that our thoughts turn into reality is a cherishable perception.

However, when things turn haywire and not as we have envisaged them for ourselves, we blame others for our mistakes, our thoughts. What you think eventually becomes your reality, so until and unless you consciously shift the way you think; you will be bound with the idiosyncrasies of life.

As Gautam Buddha rightly said, “All that we are is a result of our thoughts.”

Here are some explanations as to why this happens and why you need to put an effort on what you are thinking.

#1 It is All Energy:

We all understand and agree that we are all matter. The matter has energy that can neither be destroyed nor be created.  Even our thoughts are a matter that possesses the same energy.

Thought waves are cosmic waves that penetrate time and space. This theory has even been proved by quantum physics. This theory was sketched out in Dan Brown’s novel—The Lost Symbol, based on the entire concept of mind over matter. The book talks about how our thoughts have a tangible power that enables the human beings to be the creator of their world.

If you continuously think about something, it comes true. Our thoughts radiate energy and this energy, in turn, puts pressure on the universe. The more pressure, the more are the chances of it becoming true.

Therefore, when a huge mass of people thinks about the same thing, then the chances of it becoming a reality are greater.

#2 Realities spring up from our subconscious mind:

Sigmund Freud segregated the mind into two – conscious and unconscious. As per him, our conscious brain was the tip of the iceberg, and all the feelings and thoughts that are conscious mind was scared to think about lured into our subconscious.

Hence, our subconscious is a reflection of our conscious. Dr. Joe Dispenza is well known for his innovative theory on the relationship between mind and matter. According to him, our brain is incapable of differentiating a real physical sensation from an internal experience.

Therefore, when desires and wishes take over in our subconscious brain and get reflected through our dreams, our brain is unable to differentiate between the dream and reality. This confusion brings forth the thoughts from the subconscious to the conscious.

Once they enter the realm of consciousness and our thought process, they gain power. Even our subconscious thoughts have the same amount of power as that of the conscious thoughts.

#3 Intentions and Realities:

An intention is described as a strong thought that is coupled with the determination to reach somewhere. Everything around us is backed by an intention. Your immediate reality today is the result of the intention that you might have had a couple of years ago.

The intention translates into action and these become a reality. Dr. Emoto, through his cooked rice experiment, proved that our words, intentions, and thoughts affect our reality. For example, if you intent on becoming a doctor then you will work towards it. Your intention would be your driving force towards your goal. Intentions are stronger than just thoughts. That is why; your intentions become a reality sooner than our thoughts. However, don’t forget that intentions are fuelled by your thoughts.

So, the motto here is: think that you can do it and you will certainly accomplish it.

#4 Thinking evokes changes in the genes:

Scientists have been able to prove that thinking manifests gene changes, that too, at a molecular level. That is, our thoughts not only change our material reality but also the gene reality.

As per Dr. Bruce Lipton, our gene activity changes on a daily basis as the perceptions in mind reflect the chemistry of your body. Our thoughts are a reflection of our future. Whatever we think seeps into our body and then our mind and body react in a way that these thoughts, in turn, become a reality.

For example, if you continuously think that you are fat and need to lose weight, this will get into your head and then your body will push you forward towards exercise. Hence, your thought of losing weight will become your reality.

#5 Thinking of what you do not want will get you more of that:

This is a fairly simple concept. Your mind is stuck upon what you do not want instead of what you want. In this case, your thoughts are focused on what you do not want. As previously discussed, our thoughts have power. So, when this power is bent upon thinking and focussing on what you do not require then this is will become your reality instead of what you wanted.

This is because you did not put much emphasis on what you wanted. For example, if you want a cat and not a dog, but you keep thinking about how you do not wish to get a dog. Then, the chances are that you will get a dog instead of a cat.

As the saying goes, put your mind to the place where you want to be. Best way out, use your power judiciously.

Wrapping Up

Bruce Davis, Ph.D., in his research, suggests that we encounter almost 50,000 to 70,000 thoughts in a day; which is roughly equal to 35-40 thoughts per minute. With all of this mental chatter that keeps happening in our head, our mind decides as to what is more important and what isn’t.

There are some thoughts that we stop ourselves from thinking. These become our subconscious thoughts as we do not let them reflect in our conscious mind. All these thoughts have power which has the capability of becoming your reality.

Words, thoughts, and intentions are something you should extremely be careful about. Believe in yourself and your thoughts and you can achieve all that you want.
