One of the very basic and talked about topic of these days is tension, pressure, anxiety or rather to be very specific stress. We all have demands, loads, and difficulties and responding it in various situation and circumstances we face this so-called stress.
So, basically which poses a challenge or a threat to our well-being is called stress. We use this word when we feel that something seems to have overloaded and pressure sets in such situation. There is stress which sometimes turns out to be good, without which life would be boring and pointless. So living without any stress is like existence without ‘Kick.’
Jokes apart, when this stress weakens our mental and physical state, it becomes a problem and the need for stress management becomes important. Stress management stands for organizing and controlling that extra pressure hampering our life.

- We get easily agitated and frustrated when we are in stress. Mood swing is a very basic indicator of it. Sometimes we feel overwhelmed, and we tend to lose control on different matters. Well, going by the definition, Stress Management is a broad range of methods and systems involved in psychotherapies which are aimed at controlling the person’s level of pressure. The main purpose behind this is to improve a person’s everyday general functioning. Now, if that was tough then to be simple, these are methods which are needed to reduce the immense trauma and anxiety which hampers the general performance of the body and mind.
How to manage stress to regain balance and meaning of life? As mentioned earlier, few people choose the unsuitable course of unhealthy addiction like alcohol and smoking to manage stress; or few people squeeze soft foam balls to release tension. But, these are not the means for it.
The best ways to manage stress is to learn healthy habits and stress relief techniques, which focuses on relaxing mind and body.

Writing is a very good practice to release tension, and this is where the age old practice of maintaining a diary came from. Writing about things which are bothering you will help to relieve the anxiety and pressure. Writing about fifteen minutes will help to understand the problem and then search for a better approach to solve the problem.
Bringing time out from the busy schedule and doing something to enjoy will ultimately relax our mind. We all have some hobbies, or we all have some favorite activities which we enjoy undertaking. It can be singing, dancing, playing cards, cartooning, crafting, gardening or any other voluntary work
Meditation is one the best way of managing stress. When we meditate, we focus mainly on the present and the things happening now. So concentrating on breathing and feeling the ambiance eventually helps in coping the situation. We can also imagine oneself in some fanciful situations or visualize a situation or atmosphere which will please our mind and soul. This helps in keeping calm and relaxed.
Relaxing our Body
The best way to manage our physical well-being during stress is exercise. Apparently, it doesn’t only mean gymming or running. Exercise can be any muscular activities like walking, cycling, doing household or any such things. Getting involve in bodily commotion help in reducing anxiety and stress
How come stress can be reduced without sound or music? Research shows that listening to soothing music helps a lot in reducing pressure and anxiety. Different people has different taste of music. Depending on that, creating their playlist and listening to them will help in managing stress. Often sounds of flute or ocean or bubbles or chirping of birds help in reducing pressure.
Increasing the social involvement often gives fresh feelings. Social networking doesn’t mean Facebook or Whatsapp, but the real ones, like going out and meeting friends and people, spending time with others, playing outdoor games or just talking face to face gives the body and mind an additional energy to deal with the problems.
